As a Product Owner, you will lead an international team of business and technical experts in the area of Pricing and play a key role in our Global Pricing Enhancement Project. Your main responsibilities will include

What this role looks like.

  • Managinge various organizational organisational and project management tasks in the context of pricing. But also being hands-on the project.   
  • Takinge full accountability for the continuous improvement and development of the product within your area of responsibility.  
  • Regularly reviewing and updatinge the product vision, goals, and strategy. 
  • Continuously assessing market trends, user requirements, and data, to identifying  new business and product opportunities. 
  • Engaginge with various internal stakeholders to gather and prioritize prioritise the most valuable requirements and features. 
  • Facilitatinge collaborative workshops to define the product vision, goals, and strategy, ensuring alignment with ALDI’s business objectives. 
  • Overseeing the demand backlog, refining and prioritizing prioritising requests to maintain a clear and transparent roadmap. 
  • Creatinge, refininge, and prioritisingze product backlog items (e.g., demands, epics, user stories, and requests), ensuring the backlog is well- understood by all parties involved . 
  • Servinge as the global expert and primary point of contact  for the Buying product  in your area of ownership , particularly within the pricing domain. 
  • Leading an international team of business and technical experts to successfully assess and validate business requirements, implement continuous improvement measures, and strategically develop your product by steering the product vision in the right direction . 
  • Takinge ownership of department-internal communication to ensure the team is up to date on current achievements and upcoming milestones. 
  • Working fFull-time role,  with up to 20% travel required.

Your Profile

What you bring with you.

  • Proven hands-on experience in product ownership or international project management, particularly in pricing. 
  • Previous experience in a consulting role, where you developed a deep understanding of complex business problems, managed stakeholder expectations, and translated strategic goals into actionable steps. 
  • Ability to make informed decisions in complex and evolving environments. 
  • In-depth understanding of pricing processes and systems within a retail context. 
  • Strong presentation, negotiation, and communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey both technical and non-technical information effectively. 
  • Strong ability to collaborate, align, and negotiate with a wide range of stakeholders. 
  • Familiarity with Agile agile Ways ways of Workingworking. 
  • Business-fluent English skills. 

 

Desirable extras.

  • Understanding of IT landscapes and technical dependencies.   
  • Familiarity with SAP or other pricing tools/software is an advantage. 
  • Experience with pricing strategies and related technology/software.
