Your Job

What this role looks like.

  • Assuming overall responsibility for the seamless operation of various physical device types, such as ~30,000 laptops or store handhelds in more than 7,300 stores worldwide
  • Ensuring the operational stability of the “ALDI Workspace Ecosystem” product through appropriate KPIs and suitable dashboard visualisations
  • Advising the Product Owner proactively and driving (technical) improvements to further optimise our live operations
  • Guiding our Global Service Desk and national IT departments in resolving incidents identified by our monitoring solution, supported by relevant articles in the knowledge base
  • Identifying risks that may impact operational stability and recognising improvement potential, as well as providing suggestions for corrective actions to the Product Owner and the product team
  • Supporting compliance with security policies and relevant information security standards in coordination with the security and product team (e.g. Architects, Developers or Security Engineers)
  • Enhancing transparency on technical debt and ensuring its resolution on a regular basis to avoid possible product quality issues

Your Profile

What you bring with you.

 

  • Good understanding of ITSM processes and best practices 
  • General understanding of enterprise-class IT architecture and system landscapes, with a focus on device management
  • In-depth knowledge of ITIL frameworks, especially service transition and service operation practices  
  • Excellent skills in risk analysis and risk assessment
  • Expertise in and practical knowledge of operations and maintenance concepts, tools (ServiceNow and Jira) and methodologies 
  • Excellent communication skills (English and German)

 

Desirable extras.

  • Experience in large enterprises in the context of retail
  • Experience collaborating with a variety of countries and stakeholders
  • Work experience in the context of service (delivery) management
