Your Job

What this role looks like.

  • Conducting business market research and scouting with a focus on innovations in line with International Product Organisation – Buying (IPO Buying) strategies
  • Gaining in-depth insights into technology-driven business and market trends, mapping them to optimise the IPO Buying strategy and identify potential business opportunities
  • Regularly liaising with the IPO Strategy team to ensure strategic insights are effectively integrated to drive innovation within IPO Buying
  • Advising on potential business opportunities related to digital transformation and providing regular insights to product lines and the IPO Strategy Lead
  • Extensively collaborating both inside and outside of IPO Buying to assess the applicability of trends and acting as a point of contact for innovation-related discussions
  • Working with Business Analysts, Product Line Analysts and Product Owners to support process optimisation and automation initiatives
  • Regularly liaising with the Architecture team to support the collaborative analysis required for the ALDI “Tech Radar”

Your Profile

What you bring with you.

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in business, economics, information technology, engineering or a related field
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and a solid understanding of IPO Buying strategies and organisational goals
  • Proven research and scouting skills with an affinity for innovative technologies and industry trends
  • A talent for analysing and summarising findings as well as identifying valuable ideas from them
  • Ability to think in abstract terms and exceptional stakeholder management
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to articulate complex ideas across organisational levels

 

Desirable extras.

  • Experience with strategic innovation management in a commercial context
  • Knowledge of digital transformation processes and their business applications
  • Technical acumen or background in technology-related fields is beneficial
  • German language skills are beneficial
