Your Job
What this role looks like.
- Developing and continuously updating the strategic direction for IPO Buying, considering global market trends, internal requirements and technological developments
- Monitoring and managing the implementation of the strategy by clearly defining targets, regularly tracking progress and deriving concrete measures to achieve targets
- Conducting market research and scouting with a focus on innovations in line with IPO Buying strategies
- Gaining in-depth insights into technology-driven business and market trends, mapping them to optimise the IPO Buying strategy and identify potential business opportunities
- Advising stakeholders on potential business opportunities related to digital transformation and providing regular insights to product lines and the IPO Strategy Lead
- Collaborating extensively both inside and outside of IPO Buying to assess the applicability of trends
- Working with Business Analysts, Product Line Analysts and Product Owners to support process optimisation and automation initiatives
- Regularly liaising with the Architecture team to support the collaborative analysis required for the ALDI “Tech Radar”
Your Profile
What you bring with you.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in business administration, economics, IT, engineering or a related field
- Entrepreneurial mindset and a solid understanding of IPO Buying strategies and organisational goals
- Proven research and scouting skills, with an affinity for innovative technologies and industry trends
- Talent for analysing and summarising findings as well as deriving valuable insights from them
- Ability to think in abstract terms; exceptional stakeholder management
- Effective communication skills and the ability to articulate complex ideas across organisational levels
Desirable extras.
- Experience with strategic innovation management in a commercial context
- Knowledge of digital transformation processes and their business applications
- Technical expertise or background in technology-related fields is an advantage
- German language skills are a plus
