ALDI SOUTH IT ensures that everything runs smoothly, from the IT infrastructure to the software used: both at national and international level. Within the scope of transnational projects, our teams develop IT solutions for worldwide use at ALDI SOUTH.
As an SAP expert, you will play a key role in the implementation of ALDI SOUTH’s IT strategy and in one of the largest SAP implementation projects in the retail industry. You will develop global templates, implement software, monitor interfaces and liaise with all stakeholders.
The Business Partner Management and Buying Workflow unit deals with processes and IT solutions for business partner management as well as workflow functions that guide our buyers through the entire process of tendering, contracting, article creation, listing and pricing.
We are looking for an experienced Tech Chapter Lead to manage and support our IT teams.

- Managing a team of 15–20 software and technology experts from different areas of expertise
- Promoting the further development of team members through mentoring, coaching and training sessions
- Ensuring an effective collaboration within the team and with other teams in order to jointly achieve the technical goals of the company
- Defining clear performance targets and regularly reviewing progress to ensure a high level of performance and productivity
- Identifying opportunities to optimise workflows and processes to achieve increased efficiency and an improved level of quality
- Promoting an open culture to exchange knowledge within the team in order to share best practices and drive innovations
- Effectively communicating with stakeholders on all levels in order to manage expectations and gain support for technical objectives
- Introducing feedback mechanisms and regular reviews to facilitate continuous improvements in the team and in the processes
<h3 class="jq">Your Profile</h3>
What you should have.
- A degree in computer science, engineering or a similar field
- Several years of professional experience in software development or other technical areas
- Proven experience in managing technical teams and developing employees
- High level of technical expertise and sound knowledge of the relevant technology stacks and development methods
- Positive mindset, analytical and solution-oriented way of thinking and working, as well as a keen interest in shaping and accompanying change
- Exceptional communication skills and business fluency in German and English
- Expertise and experience in applying agile methods
What is desirable.
- Knowledge of supplier portals in the food retail industry is advantageous
