Within the scope of transnational projects, our teams develop IT solutions for worldwide use at ALDI SOUTH.

The Stores area develops, optimises and manages our IT store systems worldwide. As part of our transformation to a product-oriented organisation, we are looking for motivated people to bring their technical expertise in development to the Stores software team. You will develop innovative proof-of-concepts, share your technical knowledge and oversee small software projects. You are a tech agnostic and always on top of the latest developments. Your contacts are not only the other team members, but also the other developers in the Stores departments.

Your Job

What you give your best for.

• Evaluating the use of new technologies at ALDI SOUTH
• Defining and establishing programming guidelines (coding, testing, logging, monitoring, etc.)
• Providing technical consultation to the Stores departments and projects as well as designing/helping to design technical solutions
• Implementing PoCs up to handover of the developed solutions
• Closely cooperating with the Stores community, our business departments and national IT departments

Your Profile

What you should have.

• Degree with a focus on information technology and experience in programming
• Extensive and broad technical knowledge of programming languages and in the areas of Java, Spring, Cloud (Azure), Kafka, Microservices architecture, databases (e.g. PostgreSQL), for example
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Experience in the area of continuous integration and deployment
• Commitment to and enthusiasm for the IT solutions developed by you and your team
• Willingness to travel internationally and very good English language skills
