Within the scope of transnational projects, our experts develop IT solutions for worldwide deployment at ALDI SOUTH.
The Stores area creates the technical basis for efficient store processes by using the latest technologies. Our customers will be able to see the results of your work first-hand in all ALDI SOUTH stores worldwide. Our processes are increasingly moving to mobile devices to provide store associates with the most up-to-date hardware and software support. To facilitate this strategic focus, we are continually expanding our current team of experts. The Stores Administration department is responsible for providing a functional and resistant IT infrastructure to all ALDI SOUTH stores worldwide and continuously improving IT efficiency.
Your Job
What this role looks like.
- Taking on a leadership role in an internationally active team that focuses on agile development
- Assuming responsibility for developing conceptual strategies aimed at optimising the IT system landscape in store operations
- Observing current trends in the international retail sector and proactively contributing your own expertise to the use of new technologies
- Sharing information with the ALDI SOUTH country representatives on an ongoing basis and being aware of their needs to achieve a standardised solution concept in internationally organised workshops
- Presenting globally aligned and harmonised concepts taking into account cost-benefit analyses to international corporate bodies and implementing these concepts in the ALDI SOUTH IT landscape
- Optimising store processes and replacing manual process steps with easy-to-understand technical solutions in cooperation with internal and external IT experts
- Supporting the implementation of the new processes in the stores after successful development of the relevant software solution
Your Profile
What you bring with you.
- Demonstrable success and experience in a leadership position with a focus on IT strategy development and IT project management, and/or several years of experience in a management, retail or technical consultancy role
- Extensive knowledge of industry, technology and retail sector trends
- Servant leadership approach and willingness to take on responsibility
- Entrepreneurial spirit and drive, paired with a positive, flexible and agile mindset
- Strong analytical and conceptual skills
- Excellent audience-focused communication, presentation and networking skills
- Excellent spoken and written English
