Your Job

What you give your best for.

• Supporting and advising the squads in the development and implementation of data science best practices and standards
• Acting as a sparring partner for the planning, implementation and evaluation of data science methodologies (e.g. algorithmic approaches, A/B testing) 
• Promoting and conducting trainings to improve the skills of data scientists within the organisation 
• Collaborating with different squads to develop innovative approaches to problem solving and data-driven decision-making 
• Communicating analytical approaches as along with their benefits and procedures to colleagues 
• Developing and implementing repeatable, interpretable and scalable analysis models to support the squads in their work
• Identifying and developing long-term processes, frameworks, tools, methods and standards to improve the quality of data analyses
• Building and maintaining a knowledge base for data science best practices and tools 
   

Your Profile

What you should have.

• Degree in data science, computer science, engineering or statistics
• Proven data science expertise with very good knowledge of Python and writing complex SQL queries
• In-depth knowledge of machine learning to solve clustering, classification, regression, anomaly detection, simulation and optimisation problems for large data sets
• Good understanding of data architectures and interface-related topics such as ML and/or data engineering
• Initial experience in the implementation of GenAI use cases
• Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with other data scientists, as well as stakeholders and business partners
• Experience working with big data technologies (preferably Azure stack and Databricks) 

What is desirable.

• Experience working in the retail sector
• Experience with long-term analysis, demand/sales forecasts
• Experience with data science use cases in supply chains or finance
• Experience in data visualisation (e.g. Tableau)
• Experience in planning and conducting trainings to develop the skills of data scientists within an international organisation
• An established network of contacts with universities, meetup scenes and/or data science solution providers
