The Stores area creates the technical basis for efficient store processes by using the latest technologies. Our customers will be able to see the results of your work first-hand in all ALDI SOUTH stores worldwide. Our processes are increasingly moving to mobile devices to provide store associates with the most up-to-date hardware and software support. To facilitate this strategic focus, we are continually expanding our current team of experts. 

 

Your Job

What you give your best for.

  • Being responsible for the technical further development and support of the solution for store merchandise management, which is used in over 7,100 stores worldwide
  • Including the processing and distribution of product master data and providing support for order processes and inventory processes (in relation to the store merchandise management solution)
  • Analysing and assessing change requests and designing and implementing new requirements to optimise the deployed solution
  • Aligning and prioritising these requirements with the relevant global stakeholders (the business, National IT)
  • Serving as the contact person for technical questions in the area of store merchandise management
  • Acting as an interface between the business and external service providers/developers
  • Promoting innovative ideas with a view to state-of-the-art solutions
     

Your Profile

What you should have.

  • A degree in computer science/business informatics or a comparable qualification 
  • Professional experience as a requirement engineer, business analyst or business consultant
  • Practical experience in requirements management and in (agile) software development
  • Technical expertise in the areas of databases and APIs
  • Structured and analytical way of working
  • Initiative, decisiveness, persuasiveness and intercultural communication skills
  • Very good English language skills and willingness to travel

 

What is desirable.

  • German language skills are beneficial 
  • Experience in retail and associated understanding of store processes
  • Practical experience with Jira, Confluence, ServiceNow
  • Professional experience as a supporter
