• Together with your team colleagues, you are and will continue to grow as one of the top professionals for SAP and retail. 
• Defining the solution architecture (views) for upcoming product backlog items on the business, application and technology architecture layers 
• Identifying architecture dependencies and driving their resolution in close collaboration with product teams, enterprise architects and further stakeholders across the organisation 
• You are responsible for ensuring the integrity and future viability of the global template within the Buying pillar. 
• Ensuring that architecture definitions adhere to business value creation, target architecture and architecture guardrails; documenting and evaluating deviations as technical debts 
• Together with different subject matter experts, you will develop solution blueprints and concrete solution architectures for complex requirements and projects. 
• In close cooperation with our network of architects from other departments, you ensure seamless end-to-end processes. 
• Defining technical (enabler) epics and architecture constraints 
• Creating transparent and comprehensive architecture documentation (LeanIX, Confluence, etc.) 

Your Profile

What you should have.

• Relevant professional experience in the field of solution architecture with the business, application and technology architecture layers 
• Ability to see the big picture and to define and negotiate a comprehensive solution 
• Strong personality who can moderate and structure complex matters with the ability to advocate the IT Architecture department’s perspective 
• Extensive, preferably certified knowledge of architecture frameworks (SAFe, Open Agile Architecture, TOGAF) 
• Distinct knowledge about functional business processes and relevant customisation options in SAP S/4HANA Retail (mainly in MM and basic knowledge in SD/FI/QM modules) 
• At least one full-life-cycle SAP S/4HANA or SAP ECC implementation (analysis, solution development, blueprinting, configuration, testing, training and post-implementation support) and at least two SAP S/4HANA rollout projects 
• Expert knowledge in integrating SAP S/4HANA with other systems (using RFC, IDoc, DRFOUT, XML, web services, etc.) and the ability to provide best practices on ABAP enhancements and different integration technologies 
• Willingness to continuously learn and explore new technologies and their potential use cases (e.g. SAP Business Technology Platform, RESTful Application Programming, low-code/no-code technologies) 
• Very good English language skills
