ALDI SOUTH IT ensures that everything runs smoothly, from the IT infrastructure to the software used: both at national and international level. Within the scope of transnational projects, our teams develop IT solutions for worldwide use at ALDI SOUTH.

The Stores area is creating the technical basis for efficient store processes by using the latest technologies. As a customer, you will be able to see the results of this work first-hand in all ALDI SOUTH stores worldwide. To provide the store employees with the best possible up-to-date hardware and software support, processes are increasingly shifting to mobile devices. To be able to support this strategic focus, we want to greatly expand our current team of experts.
We are, therefore, looking for different skill sets including experienced Android or iOS developers to manage external developers and build their own agile development team as well as motivated university graduates who coordinate requirements for the further development of mobile applications in close coordination with the operational business.

Your Job

What you give your best for.

• Managing the technical design and further development of mobile applications across the ALDI SOUTH store landscape
• Using your ideas and experience to develop mobile IT solutions for more than 7,000 ALDI SOUTH stores worldwide and playing an active role in the advancement of our store solutions
• Taking the lead as a technical contact for our internal clients and colleagues for mobile store solutions
• Shaping the technical design and implementation of new requirements in close cooperation with a business product owner
• Acting as a competent and effective interface between internal IT departments and external service providers

Your Profile

What you should have.

• You have a degree in computer science or similar qualification (e.g. apprenticeship) with a focus on IT
• You have several years of experience in the area of mobile software development (e.g. C#, Xamarin/MAUI, Java/Kotlin) and sound knowledge in the programming of native apps
• Your passion for new technologies and a strong interest in mobile innovations motivate you
• The use of common version management tools (GitLab) and concepts like continuous deployment come naturally to you
• Your structured and analytical way of working is complemented by your teamwork skills, initiative and motivation to continuously develop yourself in our agile team
• You are fluent in English (spoken and written)

What is desirable.

• Professional experience in the area of mobile applications is ideal
