ALDI SOUTH IT ensures that everything runs smoothly, from the IT infrastructure to the software used: both at national and international level. Within the scope of transnational projects, our teams develop IT solutions for worldwide use at ALDI SOUTH. As the Security & Infrastructure Management department, we develop current and future standards and best practices for the global IT infrastructure in our own data centres and in the private and public cloud together with service experts. This includes using exciting technologies and collaboration models (e.g. DevOps) as well as creating and applying deployment and change processes.

Your Job

What you give your best for.

• Developing infrastructure architectures and standards for on-premises solutions as well as those in the private and public cloud in line with the sayings #SayYesToStandardisation and #SayNoToQuick’n’Dirty
• Supporting (complex) IT projects as a central contact person for the IT infrastructure teams
• Focusing on automating our IT landscape and processes in line with #SayNoToNoAutomation (taking either a conceptual or hands-on approach)
• Continuously monitoring new technologies to identify innovative solutions

Your Profile

What you should have.

• Iterative mindset as well as results and customer orientation
• Strong communication and persuasion skills, as well as a passion for constructive dialogue
• Ability to think outside the box and identify requirements across projects
• Extensive knowledge in the area of IT infrastructure, preferably due to many years in IT administration
• Desire to shape the future cloud and on-premises infrastructure of an international retail company

What is desirable.

• Knowledge in one of the following areas: IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, databases, web services, PowerShell, Terraform, Ansible, Python, CI/CD, DevOps, Scrum, Cloud Native, SAP
