Within the scope of transnational projects, our teams develop IT solutions for worldwide use at ALDI SOUTH.

The Stores area develops, optimises and manages our IT store systems worldwide. As part of our transformation to a product-oriented organisation, we are looking for motivated people to take on the role of DevOps Engineer in one of our Development teams. We are looking for experts and career starters to work with the developers in managing the cloud deployment using CI/CD. You will work with modern technologies as well as our comprehensive Development team and continuously develop our DevOps concepts.

Your Job

  • Creating and maintaining the CI/CD pipelines in our cloud systems
  • Further developing the existing DevOps concepts
  • Sizing and managing the cloud deployments
  • Automating existing manual processes
  • Working closely with the Stores community, our business departments and national IT departments

Your Profile

What you should have.

  • Degree with a focus on information technology and programming experience
  • (Extensive and broad) technical knowledge in programming languages and in the areas of Java, Spring, Maven, Python, Bash, databases (e.g. PostgreSQL)
  • Extensive knowledge and interest in container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and web services (REST, SOAP)
  • Curiosity about orchestration, GitOps, monitoring, Infrastructure as Code/IaC (Terraform), high availability
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Commitment to and enthusiasm for the IT solutions developed by you and your team
  • Willingness to travel internationally and very good English language skills
