Your Job

What you give your best for.

• Implementing your ideas in 7,300 stores for millions of our customers
• Ensuring that well over two million sales transactions per day are processed across various interfaces
• Contributing your experience and further developing our new self-checkout solution with innovative features in order to optimise the customer experience in our stores 
• Collaborating in an agile product and development team; acting as an interface between the business and external service providers/developers in requirements management
• Using your technical expertise to facilitate the smooth operation of the application in our stores; implementing solutions for any issues that arise
• Acting as an international contact person for the USA, Australia and all European countries where the ALDI SOUTH Group operates 
   

Your Profile

What you should have.

• Degree or similar qualification (apprenticeship) with a focus on business or IT 
• Enthusiasm for store and checkout solutions 
• Programming skills/technical knowledge, for example in SQL (H2, Postgres) or scripting (e.g. Bash, PowerShell, Python) 
• Initial experience with agile development methods 
• Interest in the technical processing and resolution of complex incidents from store operations (third-level support) desirable
• Practical experience in requirements management and initial experience with tools such as Jira and Confluence 
• Structured and analytical way of working 
• Ability to work in a team, personal initiative and motivation for further development 
• Fluency in English (spoken and written)
