About the position 

The STORES area develops, optimises and manages our IT store systems worldwide. We are looking for a charismatic and experienced IT project manager with leadership experience to lead a project team. With a large number of international projects running alongside each other, the team plays a key role in shaping the future of our stores. In your role, you will be responsible for coordinating your project portfolio and coaching your team along the way. You and your team will be instrumental in moving ALDI SOUTH forward.

<h3 class="jd">Your Tasks</h3>

  • Leading and developing a team of IT project managers
  • Expanding your existing team with additional experienced IT project managers that you will recruit yourself
  • Assuming responsibility for an overarching project portfolio for the introduction of new IT solutions in our global stores with a focus on “the big picture”
  • Supporting international and innovative and digital projects in our stores together with your team – from the proof of concept to the rollout
  • Being responsible for cross-departmental coordination in collaboration with functional and technical teams
  • Acting as contact partner for important stakeholders – from our product teams to executive management (e.g. Steering Committee)

<h3 class="jq">Your Profile</h3>

  • A degree with a focus on information technology or business administration
  • Several years of professional experience in international IT project management as well as in (agile) software development or experience managing complex projects (e.g. engineering projects)
  • You enjoy managing and developing employees
  • You are flexible and assertive with sound diplomatic skills
  • You have the ability to think in a structured and conceptual way and can act independently with authority and a competent demeanour at all times
  • You have very good German and English language skills
