About the position 

 

We are looking for an outstanding personality and an experienced Project Manager to lead the Project Management Office (PMO) of the Buying department within our International IT. With our projects within the Buying department, we strive to enable our business to manage and optimise the ALDI product range as well as the underlying processes. With more than ten international projects running in parallel, the PMO plays a central role in coordinating all stakeholders and managing project interdependencies. In your role, you will coordinate multi-stakeholder project planning and help to develop a state-of-the art project portfolio management. With the high exposure of the role to the senior management comes the responsibility to provide regular status updates and management reports and also the chance for you to have a meaningful impact on decisions and our way forward.  


 

<h3 class="jd">Your Tasks</h3>

  • Leading and upskilling a team of PMO members to support our project management teams  
  • Assuming responsibility for project planning incl. budget and resource allocation in coordination with the respective project leads 
  • Monitoring gatekeeping of projects and providing adequate documentation 
  • Keeping an eye on the big picture by driving an overarching project portfolio 
  • Effective cross-functional stakeholder management incl. external partners, international project teams and the IT portfolio management
     

<h3 class="jq">Your Profile</h3>

  • 5+ years of experience working in international organisations in the field of IT management 
  • Proven track record of successful project management, also within an agile setting 
  • Experienced lead, providing the team with the right mixture of mentorship, structure, and gatekeeping 
  • Ability to orchestrate multi-stakeholder settings with excellent communication skills 
  • Entrepreneurial attitude, an organised mindset and excellent time management 
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills that help to boil down complex questions into simple solutions
