Your Job

What this role looks like.

  • Creating concepts for the provision of support services and service specifications for IT services in order to meet technical requirements (e.g. support level, security) and implement these in accordance with IT standards (ITIL)
  • Coordinating service delivery 
  • Supervising the external support delivery team in the provision of support services and reporting on defined KPIs 
  • Assuming responsibility for ensuring that the required documentation, including support information, guidelines, policies and user information, is available and up to date in the respective systems, such as SAP and Non-SAP, ServiceNow and SharePoint 
  • Attending planning meetings as well as meetings of decision-making bodies and other management committees
  • Ensuring proper service within the IT organisation, in particular at the management and project levels 
  • Acting as a point of contact for escalations
  • Providing relevant information on major incidents, such as the RACI and escalation matrix, and ensuring it remains up to date 
  • Monitoring communication in the event of failures that are categorised as major incidents
  • Ensuring that appropriate measures are taken to improve service quality in the event of SLA breaches and to prevent recurring breaches 
  • Working on the continuous improvement of services 
  • Proactively ensuring compliance with applicable security policies and current market standards in service operations

Your Profile

What you bring with you.

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in business informatics, information technology or a related field 
  • At least five years of experience as an IT service owner and/or support lead 
  • Solid understanding of general IT architecture and applications in the relevant area (incl. database and server architecture)
  • Good understanding of best practices in the area of IT Service Management (ITSM) 
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, as well as knowledge of relevant tools and techniques 
  • Extensive experience in the operation of SAP and non-SAP systems
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills 
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills
  • Very good English language skills (level C1–2 according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages) 

Desirable extras.

  • Experience coordinating the provision of services in an international context
  • Experience using Manhattan/MMS 
  • German language skills are beneficial
