Your Job
What you give your best for.
- Fully automating the data processing operations developed by your colleagues
- Setting up/defining and maintaining the monitoring and scheduling processes of these operations
- Continuously improving and further developing the monitoring processes
- Working on incident and problem management as well as on service management in line with ITIL
- Setting up/handling CI/CD processes in the provided environments in the area of big data
- Supporting the creation of development and operating standards and ensuring compliance
- Supporting the planning of delivery times, code-related quality assurance and in improving the efficiency of the related processes
- Performing daily tasks such as monitoring metrics and following up on incidents
- Developing and maintaining knowledge of environment configuration management and troubleshooting
Your Profile
What you should have.
- Excellent coding and scripting skills (Unix Shell, Javascript, Python, Scala, Java, REST APIs), cloud infrastructure knowledge (Azure, Terraform, Kubernetes), networking expertise (TCP, UDP, firewalls, ports, NAT,…).
- Experience with continuous integration and related tools e.g. Azure DevOps, Jenkins, Hudson, Maven, Ant, Git, Sonar, etc.
- Strong understanding of agile methodologies (experience as a DevOps or SRE Engineer in an agile multifunctional team is preferred)
- Strong communication and problem solving skills with ability to communicate complex technical concepts and align the organization in decisions
What is desirable.
- Operational experience with big data/machine learning processes
- Experience in working with cloud-based systems, ideally Azure
