Your Job

What you give your best for.

  • Designs, develops, optimizes, and maintains squad specific data architecture and pipelines that adhere to defined ETL and data lake principles
  • Prepares, aligns and organizes hand-over of data architecture and pipeline artefacts to platform team for use across squads
  • Solves technical data problems whose resolutions help our business to achieve their goals
  • Within an agile team, creates data products for analytics and data scientist/ML engineer team members to improve their productivity
  • Advises, consults, mentors and coaches data and analytic professionals in own squad on data standards and practices
  • Contributes to the evaluation of emerging tools for analytic data engineering and/or data science
  • Proposes and contributes to education and improvement plans on analytic data engineering capabilities, standards, and processes
  • Learns about machine learning, data science, computer vision, artificial intelligence, statistics, and/or applied mathematics

Your Profile

What you should have.

  • Background in Computer Science
  • Is experienced working in a data engineering role and solutions on cloud computing services in the data and analytics space
  • Has expertise in SQL and data analysis and experience with at least one programming language (e.g., Python, Scala)
  • Has database development and data modeling experience, ideally using Databricks/Spark and SQL Server DB, and knowledge about relational, NoSQL, and cloud database technologies
  • Is familiar with MS Azure tools, like Data Factory, Event Hub, Databricks, ML, Synapse, Purview
  • Has conceptual knowledge of data and analytics, such as dimensional modeling, ETL, reporting tools, data governance, data warehousing, structured and unstructured data.
  • Is familiar with Unix operating system, especially shell scripting
  • Has proven exposure to machine learning, data science, computer vision, artificial intelligence, statistics, and/or applied mathematics
  • Excellent communication skills and business fluency in English; knowledge of German is a plus
