Your Job

What this role looks like.

• Oversee Data Engineering activities across SAP agile Reporting Squads (e.g., designing data models, transformations, source system extractors, CDS views)
• Establish Data Engineering standards and tools in collaboration with the Platform team and promote implementation of practices by creating protocols and ensuring their application
• Ensure that everyone in the SAP Data Engineering community has the right support to do their best work and grow in their roles, spanning across locations and business
• Develop, manage and measure continuous learning activities for the SAP Data Engineering community functions
• Provide deep expertise on strategic use cases (e.g., high priority products, technology development)
• Act as the “go-to-person” for the SAP Data Engineering community to solve complex problems
   

Your Profile

What you bring with you.

• Senior expertise (5+ years) of leading large Reporting teams at high growth enterprises and working across product and technology departments
• Strong coaching and capability building skills with the ability to grow and continuously develop a thriving community
• Demonstrated ability to work in an agile environment
• Deep understanding in SAP BW, SAP HANA and SAP S/4, clean coding techniques in ABAP and AMDP/HANA SQL.
• Deep understanding of at least two of these SAP modules: SD, MM, Retail, CAR
• Data Modeling expertise to align with data engineers and data architects on model evolution
