Our International IT Procurement department (IITP) is responsible for procuring all goods and services related to IT (hardware, software and IT services). The centrally and globally integrated department is divided into two main areas: Strategic IT Procurement and Vendor Management. These are supported by IT Procurement Operations and Software Asset Management.

Your Job

What this role looks like.

  • Evaluating and monitoring contract usage and IT supplier performance, with the aim of ensuring the agreed service quality and enabling comparability between suppliers
  • Designing, maintaining and optimising supplier contracts to achieve maximum added value and strategic advantages for our organisation
  • Further developing and maintaining long-term, collaborative relationships with our strategic IT vendors in order to sustainably improve cooperation
  • Assuming overall responsibility for developing and implementing a collaborative IT strategy in close coordination with our International IT Procurement department and business departments
  • Supporting management by providing sound advice in the area of supplier management and proactively finding solutions to matters that have been escalated
  • Managing and holding strategic workshops, meetings and events, also at C-level, to ensure efficient collaboration with our IT vendors

Your Profile

What you bring with you.

  • Degree in business administration, business informatics, IT management or a comparable degree programme 
  • Several years of professional experience related to supplier relationships, the management of IT partners/vendors/client accounts and/or in IT procurement 
  • Networker mentality and confident demeanour, as well as assertiveness and diplomacy when communicating and negotiating at various hierarchical levels, including with external C-level IT service providers
  • Independent, responsible and solution-oriented way of working as well as strong teamwork skills
  • Analytical, structured and conceptual way of thinking, as well as the ability to take on a high degree of individual responsibility
  • Professional fluency in German and English

 

Desirable extras.

  • ITIL certificate is desirable
  • Ideally, initial experience working with providers of outsourced IT services
